Management Team

TJ Pennino has built his career in environmental compliance and the oil and natural gas industry since 2009. Since joining EmKey in 2022, he has supported the company's natural gas transmission operations, regulatory compliance, and project management. He also leads all business development, working with utilities, developers, large industrial users, and economic development partners across Northwest Pennsylvania, Northeast Ohio, and Southwest New York to grow EmKey's portfolio of pipeline, gathering, and energy projects.

Before EmKey, TJ was General Manager of The Gildea Group, a pipeline and facilities construction company. There he managed or led more than 100 projects totaling over $175 million for some of the largest operators in the country and abroad. These included a roughly $24 million, 20-mile gathering system and a roughly $15 million, 10-mile dual 20-inch pipeline serving a natural gas-fired power plant in Pennsylvania.

TJ started his career in environmental services. He worked in field sales, project management, environmental and waste regulatory compliance, and 24/7 emergency spill response. That background shapes how he runs projects today: safety first, close attention to regulations, cost discipline, and working closely with agencies, landowners, contractors, and local communities. TJ grew up in Northwest Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from St. Bonaventure University
